How to start your LLC or corporation, step by step.

From “I want to start a company” to an approved LLC

This is the question we get more than any other. Here’s exactly what happens, start to finish, when you form an LLC or corporation with EZ Corp Services.

• Pick your state and entity type

  Most clients choose Wyoming for its zero income tax and strong privacy, but the right state depends on your situation — Montana for vehicles, Nevada or Texas if that’s where you’re based, Illinois if you’re licensed there. Not sure? Call or text us and we’ll ask a few questions and recommend a state and entity type, free, before you pay anything.

• Send us your basic information

  Company name (with a backup in case it’s taken), business purpose, and owner/member information. If you want your name kept off the public record, tell us now — that’s our Nominee Service, not something you add after the fact.

• We prepare and file with the Secretary of State

  We draft your Articles of Organization or Incorporation and file them with the state. Most Wyoming filings go in within one business day of us receiving your information — we can also hand-deliver documents to the Secretary of State’s office for same-day filing when timing matters.

• You receive your approved, state-stamped documents

  Once the state approves your filing, we send you the official, stamped documents — your proof the company legally exists. If you ordered an EIN, we obtain that from the IRS around the same time.

• We stay on as your registered agent

  Every formation includes one full year of registered agent service. We accept legal notices and state correspondence on your behalf and get them to you fast, so your company stays in good standing.

• Open your bank account and start operating

What you need to have ready

• Your preferred company name, plus a backup
• A short description of what the business does
• Names of owners/members (unless using our Nominee Service)
